In 2013 I trained as SEN tutor at Helen Arkell, completing Level 3 before achieving the Level 5 Diploma. During term time I teach at Emerson House, a specialist school in West London. I enjoy teaching privately after school and during the school holidays.

Before becoming a specialist tutor, I worked in Public Relations and was fortunate to travel to many interesting countries including Alaska, Australia, New Zealand, China and Uruguay. I live in Barnes, S-W London.

As a tutor specialising in helping children who have special educational needs, it is important to me that each lesson plan is tailored to suit the learning style of that child. I aim for the lessons to be multi-sensory with activities and resources that can be personalised to the interests or hobbies of the individual. Children learn best when they build a good rapport with their teacher, and become engaged in the subject. To this end, lessons aim to be interesting and enjoyable and address the specific learning needs. I consider myself to be enthusiastic, patient and kind, and hope to build each child's confidence.

In my spare time I enjoy visiting exhibitions, the theatre, opera and taking my dog for long walks along the river. During the holidays, I enjoy traveling and exploring new destinations. Yoga and dog-walking keep me fit. For relaxation, I play bridge, enjoy cooking and entertaining friends.
