Established in 2007, Keystone Tutors is one of the UK’s leading private tutoring organisations. With offices in London, Hong Kong and Singapore, we work with a range of specialist tutors who can assist students approaching the EPQ. The EPQ tutors we work with can ensure students think broadly about the subject they are focusing on, considering all angles and approaches carefully and help your child develop an effective plan to complete it. Tutors will follow guidelines set out by the exam boards and therefore will be unable to directly review, edit or provide written feedback on the EPQ.

"Andrew was an absolute godsend when my daughter was working on her EPQ. He was extremely knowledgeable and was able to guide her through restructuring the essay. He was very organised and was completely up to speed with the work she had done before the session. My daughter wrote all the dissertation herself, however, his input on where the essay needed more focus and content was invaluable. He was extremely kind to fit her into his schedule as we contacted Keystone Tutors only days before the dissertation was due. We were delighted and very lucky to find a tutor with such expertise. Thank you so much Andrew."
Parent of a Year 12 student"Jessica has been a fantastic support to my son with both his Personal Statement and EPQ, thank you for putting us in contact with her."

An EPQ is a respected qualification that will help students improve their university application as well as providing an opportunity to explore a subject that fascinates them. Universities tend to look favourably on EPQs as it demonstrates that students are capable of completing independent research (which is especially necessary for Oxbridge courses!) as well as giving students a chance to show their passion for their subject. On occasion, universities will offer a reduced entry requirement to students with an impressive performance in the EPQ.
Please note that our support with EPQ is limited to helping your child in thinking about and selecting the focus for their EPQ, and in developing an effective plan to complete it. They can ensure your child thinks broadly about the subject they are focusing on, considering all angles and approaches carefully. Tutors will follow guidelines set out by the exam boards and therefore will be unable to directly review, edit or provide written feedback on the EPQ.
Established in 2007, Keystone have helped over 10,000 students fulfil their educational potential. Uniquely, Keystone exclusively employs 60 full-time UK based tutors and also represents a highly select pool of freelance tutors. An Extended Project Qualification or EPQ is a qualification that can be taken in England and Wales, as part of the National Qualifications framework. It is the equivalent of 50% of an A-Level, and is taken by many students alongside their main A-Level subjects. An EPQ, as the name suggests, is a substantial project, normally resulting in a dissertation, but which can also result in a piece of dramatic, artistic, or musical composition, or other creation. Typically these projects are related in some way to an academic discipline which the student intends to pursue in higher or further education. They always require a great deal of rigour and effort to complete.
EPQs relevant to a particular degree tend to be positively viewed by Universities during their admissions process, because they demonstrate a high degree of motivation, responsibility, and autonomy on the part of the student. They are a great way to broaden out a student's interest in a particular subject area beyond the limits of the curriculum, and to give them a sense of what it would be like to study that subject in a more advanced and independent way.
We have a monthly reporting system which is used to update parents on an ongoing basis. The monthly report details:

Guide to the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ)
What is an EPQ? An Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) is a standalone A-Level qualification designed to extend students beyond the A-Level specification and prepare them for university and beyond. It is worth half of an A-Level (28 UCAS points for an A*) and is recognised for university applications.
Guide to A Level Maths and Further Maths
Should I take Maths for A Level? Mathematics has been the most popular A Level choice for some time now. This is due to Maths being a highly applicable subject in a range of professions, and is often a requirement for some university degrees. While it is a popular choice, it is also a challenging subject that will require a lot of work to get top marks.
