Course Description
This course is for students approaching their pre-test interviews. Keystone Tutor, Kathleen, will work through different focus areas in order to fully prepare students for both 1:1 and group interviews. There are four sessions, spread over four months and further details can be found below.
Interview Preparation
Through a series of monthly group sessions, students will practice a range of skills required to be successful in interviews.
They will begin to:
- Increase their confidence interacting and collaborating in a group
- Cultivate an awareness of self: body language, breathing, vocal projection
- Develop a willingness to offer an opinion and listen to a different perspective
- Acquire strategies for a one-to-one situation
Dates: Fridays from 6:30-7:30pm
Kathleen has been teaching for over 15 years in both primary and secondary schools and has taught over 4,100 hours through Keystone. She aims to instill self-confidence in her students and also help them develop creative independence.
Maximum Class Size: We teach in groups of no more than 10 with the average number in our classes being 5
Platform: Lessons will take place on Zoom, which is free and straightforward for students to use. A link will be sent out ahead of the course start date.
Age Group: Year 5 and 6
