Biology A Level Course Description
This 4-day course will focus on the most challenging A-level biology topics tested in all specifications. This will cover 70-80% of the content of all boards. Any variation between boards will be made explicitly clear. Each 2-hour session will involve in-depth instruction with the day's topics interweaved with regular Q&A, followed by modelling how to score maximum marks in exam questions and a chance for you to put that into practice.
Biology AQA A Level Course Description
This course will focus on the most challenging topics of the AQA specification over 4 days. Each 2-hour session will involve in-depth instruction about the day's topics interweaved with regular Q & A, modelling how to score maximum marks in exam questions using appropriate keywords and being precise and succinct and a chance for you to put that into practice.
Biology A Level Course Outline
Day 1:
Cell Signalling: Immune System, Glucoregulation, Osmoregulation, Action potential.
Day 2:
Transport & Exchange: Counter-current mechanism, Absorption in the ileum, Sucrose loading in the Phloem, Bohr Effect, Cardiac cycle, Tissue fluid formation.
Day 3:
Energy Transfer: Respiration & Photosynthesis.
Day 4:
Genetics: Gene Technology, Gene expression, Inheritance.
Detailed feedback - An end of course report is sent on completion detailing the student’s achievements and areas for further work.
