Who was the student?
This student had left school but was hoping to sit two A Levels through an accelerated A Level programme. The family came to Keystone to find tutors to support this learning and to take the student through the curriculum for both subjects in one year.
How did we respond?
The process began with a consultation over the phone – where the details were discussed and the homeschooling team at Keystone were able to gain more information about who would be the best fit for the student. Tutors were then identified and briefed on the goal and then lessons began. The tutors regularly checked in with the Keystone Team, updating them on progress. Reports were sent out each month, detailing what had been covered and the tutors ensured that they were setting regular practice papers to get the student as prepared as possible for their upcoming exams. The tutors were also in regular contact with the parents, passing on information and updates on how the lessons were going.
What was the outcome?
The student took the two A Level exams at their old school and achieved two As. This meant they were able to go to their first choice University. This was a fantastic achievement in a very short space of time.
