Tutors for Academic Confidence
Tutoring can play a valuable role in building a child’s academic confidence, self-esteem and worth. The tutors we represent provide targeted support, address problem areas and build academic confidence in both primary and secondary aged children.
We can introduce tutors to students struggling with a particular area in maths or with low confidence in a certain subject.
The personalised nature of one-on-one tutoring allows tutors to build a tailored plan based on the strengths, weaknesses, likes and dislikes of each child. The one-on-one environment lets the tutor get to know a child individually and build up a rapport and trust. If a child doesn’t understand something they can raise this with their tutor and work through problems together. Tutoring allows a child to work at their own pace and learn in a way that appeals to them.
One-on-one learning removes the sense of competing which is so often present in a traditional classroom setting. Our tutors aim to raise students’ self-esteem, give praise and encourage thoughts and questions. Students can set their own personal goals which in turn will lead to a more academically confident child.
Keystone Tutors can provide support with general academic self-confidence or confidence building for school entrance exams and interviews. Get in touch to discuss your requirements today.
Feedback for Keystone Tutors
''Samara is fabulous. She is incredibly patient, practical, humorous, totally 'gets' my son, and is strategic in her planning for his needs. She explains everything clearly, intelligently, and is very sensitive to boosting his confidence in both maths and English. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her - she's an excellent tutor and a lovely person. Couldn't ask for more. She really should be a teacher... she'd be an asset to any student!'' - Parent of a student in Year 5
"As a direct result of all your work with my daughter her grades and her confidence have shot up and I can see that you are motivating her to go way beyond her school work. Her new school has noticed the change in her as well. She has received excellent and very encouraging feedback from both her English teachers and her writing is often used as examples during class.'' Parent of a Y12 English Language and Literature student
''Alice has been a wonderful tutor for our 10 year old twins heading towards their 11+. She has a way of making their tutorial sessions fun but also incredibly helpful. I have noticed a huge increase in their confidence tackling both English and Maths under her care. I could not recommend her highly enough.'' Mother of 11+ student
