Creative Writing Workshops
To help get ideas flowing and teach some of the fundamentals of creative writing, we’re offering a free online workshop led by Steph, one of Keystone’s expert creative writing tutors.
Prior to joining Keystone, Steph was a primary school teacher. She has a wealth of experience working with students in Years 1 to 8. She has tutored over 5,200 hours with Keystone, including thousands of hours in 7+, 8+, and 11+ tuition.
The workshops will cover:
- The elements of a story
- Building on the theme
- Vocabulary building
- Planning and structuring a story
These workshops will be tailored to each age group and will be full of useful, engaging activities to spark inspiration and teach the mechanics of story writing.

A Guide to Pre-Test Preparation
In this webinar, we will be, exploring all aspects of the 11+ and 13+ Pre-Tests - including what they consist of, who uses them, and how to best prepare. In recent years, many independent senior schools have incorporated ‘Pre-tests’ as an initial entry assessment for Year 7 and 9 entry.
Pre-tests commonly form the first stage of the admissions process, and schools use them to identify the students who are most suitable to proceed to the next stage. Pre-tests can be administered in written form or on a computer, with the ISEB Common Pre-Test, CEM Test and the CAT 4 being the most widely used.
