I spent most of my childhood in west London, attending the amazing Fox Primary School in Notting Hill Gate, before my parents sent me all the way to Putney to attend secondary school at Ashcroft Technology Academy. I stayed there for sixth form – achieving A*AA in Maths, Physics and Biology respectively.

I subsequently relocated to the north, attending the University of Manchester to study for a Master of Physics, graduating with a 2:1 in 2023. Now, I am focussing on teaching aspiring young mathematicians and scientists with Keystone.

My approach to teaching is very much from an angle of enjoyment. I believe it to be so important to find that spark and get interested in what you are learning; it makes a difficult subject suddenly feel so much easier! For this reason, my initial action is always to bring something exciting to my lessons, be it a concept prop, inspiring fact, or recent study to engage the student with the subject.

As a tutor, it is my job to guide students through a process that lands them top results. In teaching Maths and Physics, it is important to convey complex concepts in a way that the pupil can grasp. Once a student understands the concepts, the next step for them is to put in the hours; there is no learning like grinding example questions, I'm afraid! Once the student is comfortable solving problems, often by watching me solve the problems they struggle with, the final step is to prepare for time-pressured exam conditions.

I am a keen climber, attending the climbing gym at least 3 times per week. I always find exercise helps me to unwind, and then come back and work more productively than I did before. I also enjoy the slow but steady improvement in the sport even after years of climbing; I am still improving my strength and technique. Other than climbing, my passions include cooking, music, and chess.
