I grew up in Hertfordshire where I studied Maths, Physics and Further Maths (A* A* A) at A level. I then went on to study Physics at UCL where I gained a first class degree. After University I spent a couple of years tutoring part-time whilst working at startups but now tutoring is my primary work.

As a tutor, I try to guide a student towards working out problems independently by providing the tools they need to find the solution. Where useful and time permitting, I like to go into the first principles approach – the ‘why’ as opposed to just the ‘how’. This is something I personally wish I had had more of during my own education as it makes learning much more satisfying and equips the student with a much better understanding. I always try to make my lessons as interesting and enjoyable as possible by incorporating various teaching aids like animations or video, or guiding students through mini thought experiments which allow them to work out new concepts for themselves.

Alongside my passions for Science & Maths, I've also always been very interested in more creative pursuits! When I'm not tutoring I'm either making music or doing some extra work as a freelance photographer / videographer. I'm also very interested in health & fitness and really enjoy cooking!
