I have always had a passion for Maths, largely sparked by my father at an early age, and then by my secondary school Maths Teacher. I studied Maths, Further Maths, History, and IT at A-Level. I went on to study Maths at the University of Reading, graduating with a 1st Class Honours Degree.

I spent 10 years working within my family business in logistics and warehousing. Here I developed a very strong work ethic, managing a large team of staff across different walks of life. I also managed various departments, overseeing hundreds of clients across the world.

My love of Maths, however, led me to take a career change and focus on something more rewarding. Thus, I’ve been teaching Maths at both GCSE and A Level for the past five years, and am in my second year of tutoring.

My lessons are structured, dynamic, and well planned (for all eventualities)! This enables me to teach at a comfortable pace for the student. Whether that be offering them extra support, or challenging and stretching them.

My lessons allow me to demonstrate examples, give the student space to learn and challenge misconceptions, and, are tailored to the students’ needs. Regular assessments are also key to ensure that progress and reflections are made.

I always try to make the topics tangible to the real world, to ensure that students can relate and are more motivated. Most importantly, I aim to build a relationship and rapport with my students so that they enjoy my teaching style, and, Maths in general.

First and foremost, I am a full time Maths teacher in a school. Outside of this, I have a passion for travelling off the beaten track. I also regularly volunteer at a local food depot. Lastly, I love to keep fit at the gym, play football, basketball, ski, hike and more recently, learn to surf!
