Experience

I am an experienced tutor with a proven track record of guiding students towards top UK schools, state and public. I know exactly how to tailor my sharp, dynamic teaching style to the individual needs of the student.

Biography

I'm a tutor and a filmmaker. I have taught for six years, and love the opportunity it gives me to keep learning, and to meet so many diverse and interesting students and families.

I know how to build rapport with my students, growing their confidence and deepening their knowledge of the subject and examination.

I'm an exam board geek, and a Shakespeare lover.

I'm a mentor too, with a lot of experience guiding neuro-divergent students towards success. I care for the well-being of my students, making sure they feel good, healthy, and positive about life and learning.

Approach to Tutoring

I have spent the past six years working for several top tutoring agencies in London: building relationships, transforming grades, and guiding students to some of the country’s top schools.

My style is playful but rigorous: my students’ knowledge, confidence, and capacity grow hour by hour.

I know how to make a student *want* to impress, *want* to achieve. Being a good tutor is being someone to look up to.

When not tutoring

When I'm not teaching, I'm filmmaking. I'm currently finishing my third short film, a psychological drama about a cursed painting that upends a young woman's life, forcing her to confront the sins of her national and familial past. It is set in modern day Paris, but its roots lie in the German Occupation during WW2.

The skills required of a great tutor - clarity, perceptiveness, and authority - are the same as those required of a successful writer-director.
