I began tutoring whilst at university, and and have worked professionally as a tutor since graduating in 2010. I currently tutor full-time, working with UK-based students after school hours and international students during the daytimes. I specialise in teaching English and maths and have a great deal of experience preparing students for UK school entry at 11+ and 13+ and for gCSE exams in both subjects.

Biography
Robyn is a Cambridge graduate and full-time private tutor, with over thirteen years experience. She specialises in teaching English and maths from 11+ through to GCSE.
Robyn has an in-depth understanding of the entry procedures at 11+ and 13+ for top UK day and boarding schools and in recent years has sent a number of successful candidates to top UK schools, including Eton, Harrow, Godolphin & Latymer, Alleyn’s and St Pauls’ Girls, amongst more. Robyn successfully has tutored students for scholarship entry to Eton, Harrow and Winchester. Last year all of Robyn's GCSE students gained grades 8 & 9 (A*) in both English and maths.
Robyn also regularly teaches Verbal and Non-Verbal reasoning for UK school entry at 11+ and 13+ points, further maths level 2 for GCSE and drama/theatre studies for all ages.
Robyn takes on a limited number of students for weekly lessons and invests dedicated time into creating a holistic program of tuition tailored to each individual student.
After graduating Cambridge, Robyn also trained in professional acting at LAMDA, and has experience in providing audition support and practical drama work, including working on a 6-month Shakespeare in schools project, performing and holding educational workshops. She would be happy to offer support for LAMDA exams and other aspects of drama and performance.
Approach to Tutoring
I am fun and lively, and am particularly good at motivating students who are having trouble concentrating or getting on with a subject. I am happy to tailor lessons precisely to what the student and parent require, and of course am more than willing to offer additional support via email or telephone outside of lessons.
When not tutoring
I tutor professionally full-time. When I am not working I am spending time with my young toddler Oscar (who enjoys saying hello to my students from time to time!)
