I started tutoring after graduating from Oxford in summer 2013. This then stepped up a gear when I moved to Shanghai to work for a Family Office for 3 months as a tutor and education consultant in 2017. I successfully secured candidates places at their schools of choice at 11+. Subsequently, I have tutored extensively both online and in person with British and foreign students, helping students get into their first choice schools at 11+, 13+ and 16+ (including the likes of Westminster and Harrow) as well as Oxbridge and Ivy League Universities.

Biography

A Londoner born and bred, I studied at Westminster School which I loved, getting top A Level grades in English, History, History of Art and Theatre Studies. I went on to Oxford University where I gained a 2.1 degree in History of Art. After a gap year travelling to every one of the 32 countries that played in the 2014 FIFA World Cup for a project, I returned to tutoring in London, pursuing creative projects on the side. In 2017 and 2018 I got the chance to work in Shanghai and Beijing as an educational consultant and tutor for London Family Office, helping children get into top English schools. Since returning to London, I've continued to build on this expertise, helping students from the UK, China, Europe and the USA.

Approach to Tutoring

For me, tutoring is first and foremost about getting the most out of the individual student and I employ my experience and ability to get on with different personalities to ensure that I do this. Fun but firm, I want students to enjoy the sessions as much as possible while ensuring that we excel at achieving their individual goals through a tailored approach.

When not tutoring

I've written for the likes of GQ and The Financial Times and am also completing a performance coaching qualification. For me, tutoring is the perfect work to complement this because it is something that I enjoy doing so much and I can be fully flexible with timings.
