I am a fully qualified maths teacher with an outstanding track record of success, the modal progress of my weekly students has been 3 grades. I am a professional, patient and friendly tutor with a fantastic subject knowledge of the 1-9 GCSE/IGCSE, A-Level and Primary Maths curricula that I use to tailor learning to your child's needs.

I hold degrees in both Economics and Politics and have tutored these subjects up to A-Level.

I am comfortable teaching a wide range of ages and abilities and have experience working with an award winning SEND and Inclusion department at my last school.

Biography

I was raised in a military family moving schools regularly throughout my childhood being taught in both public and private schools. Changing schools so regularly I have seen first-hand, the massive effect both outstanding and inadequate teaching can have on someone’s future. This drives me to try to provide a world-class education to my pupils.

After graduating from the University of Manchester with a degree in Economics. I joined Teach First, one of the countries most prestigious teacher training programmes. There I Qualified as a Mathematics Teacher working in the Yorkshire and Humber region. I have since gone on to teach in an OFSTED rated Outstanding School in the Manchester area while gaining a Masters Degree in Philosophy and Political Theory and then taught at an award winning International School in the Middle East.

Approach to Tutoring

As a mastery based tutor I create an individualized program for each of my students based on their specific needs. I ensure regular assessments and a personalised tracking program filled out on a regular basis at the end of each session so that parents can see the progress that has been made.

When not tutoring

I love travelling recently teaching in a British International School in Jordan. There I enjoyed scuba diving, exploring accident ruins and hiking the Jordan Trail.

My wife and I are new parents to a beautiful baby daughter so I spend all the time I can taking her for walks in the Yorkshire Wolds.
