I grew up in South Manchester and completed my secondary school experience at one of the top independent schools in the North West, Withington Girls' School, where I gained A*s in Maths, Chemistry and Physics at A Level. I then went on to gain a 2:1 in my Masters degree in Chemical Engineering at Imperial College London. Shortly after university I gained my Qualified Teacher Status through the Teach First Leadership Development Programme in 2017, when I fell in love with teaching. I have been classroom teaching and tutoring online since 2016.

My philosophy for teaching is to cultivate a supportive environment that fosters confidence and independent learning skills that will stand my students in good stead for their further education beyond school years. My greatest strengths lie in quickly identifying gaps in knowledge and effectively plugging those gaps to get my students quickly and efficiently ready for their exams. I am also a qualified yoga teacher and am passionate about introducing my students to mindfulness and somatic practices for calming the nervous system where appropriate so that they have tools to call upon when they are feeling anxious or stressed. With 4 years of classroom experience and over 10 years of tutoring experience, I have an abundance of resources available to me to deliver engaging sessions for my students.

I am a full-time online tutor, teaching students from all over the world, and the flexibility of working online allows me to travel around the country and abroad. My most recent trip was to Albania in April 2024 and I am looking forward to my next big trip to India in November. I also run a yoga and wellness business, running retreats in the UK and abroad!
