Having taught over 1000 hours, I have 2 years experience teaching GCSEs and A Levels in UK schools, and almost 10 years experience in tutoring English Literature, Language, History, Sociology and Psychology. I have also helped 7/11/13+ students gain entry to schools like Haberdashers, Latimer, Henrietta Barnet, Dulwich College and more. My university preparation students have gone onto Oxford, Cambridge, Durham and many other Russel Group universities. I pride myself in my proven track record of helping students achieve the very best of their potential.

Biography

I was born and raised in London, and grew up speaking Bangla and Arabic. After achieving an A in English Literature and A*s in History, Psychology and my English Literature EPQ at A Level, I went on to study English at St Catharine's College, Cambridge. Since graduating, I trained as an actor at the Oxford School of Drama and alongside tutoring write for the stage and screen.

Approach to Tutoring

Having tutored students from all different backgrounds, ages and needs for almost 10 years, I have developed a sensitive and nuanced approach to teaching. I believe in catering lessons and teaching style to each and every student as an individual, as well as conducting myself with warmth and empathy so students are never afraid to ask for support. I use a range of learning materials, from textbooks to documentary clips to help students engage with their subjects critically and inspire academic rigour.

When not tutoring

Alongside tutoring I write professionally for stage and screen, so I love going to the theatre and cinema. I'm also sing regularly as part of a choir and enjoy sewing and reading.
