Born and raised in Stratford-Upon-Avon, I grew up with a natural love for literature, the arts, culture, music and theatre. After attending the local girls' grammar school, I went onto gaining a 1st class English and Drama degree from the University of Exeter. I was President of the Drama Society as well as being heavily involved in the student newspaper and playing for Exeter University Ladies Hockey Team.

After my undergraduate degree, I began training as a theatre director at the Bristol Old Vic. I gained a distinction in my MA from the Bristol Old Vic as a director. I am now writing my PhD thesis proposal in English Literature to continue to the research that I began in my undergraduate in Shakespeare studies.

Alongside tutoring, I work professionally as a theatre director, both on the West End and nationally. Most recently, I was the associate director on SIX The Musical in the West End.

Throughout my years of tutoring students across various age groups, I've discovered that optimal outcomes stem from nurturing a burgeoning interest, curiosity, confidence, and passion for the subject matter. I make it a priority to instil curiosity in students, even in their most challenging subjects, with the goal of fostering enthusiasm for growth, learning, and a deeper understanding of the material. As a tutor, I embody patience and a positive outlook, approaching each session with a sunny disposition. My teaching methodology is characterised by a personalised touch, as I strive to comprehend and adapt to the unique needs of each student.

I am a freelance theatre director, writer and academic.

For the past year, I have been the Resident Director of SIX the Musical in the West End but I also work on other shows including classical plays, new plays and Shakespeare.

In addition to tutoring and directing, I am a keen runner, running both marathons and ultra marathons all around the world!
